YOSEMITE AREA AUDUBON SOCIETY

No foolin’, today’s Le Grand Raptor Survey was quite busy! Amongst the usual Red-tailed Hawks, Loggerhead Shrikes, American Kestrels, and Turkey Vultures we also had several Swainson’s Hawks, a Peregrine Falcon – and 2 large colonies of Tricolored Blackbirds (that were not there 2 weeks ago).

We reported the colonies to the appropriate folks at Audubon California and California Department of Fish and Wildlife and I took a few photos.
