Please join Yosemite Audubon for a bird walk around Ahwahnee Hills Park on Saturday January 13 at 9 am. Participants should meet at the main parking lot for the park, the entrance which is just north on Highway 49 from Wasuma Elementary School.
We expect to see residents such as woodpeckers and nuthatches, as well as wintering birds such as sparrows, kinglets, and ducks. Terrain is gentle at the park, with gravel walking trails weaving through oak woodland and riparian habitat, as well as a stop at a pond to view various waterfowl. All levels of experience are encouraged to join.
